I have been so excited to share this post with all of you.

Baylee and I collaborated on this senior photo project in the fall of 2023 and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. We split the session into two days and created two completely different aesthetics which is something I try to convince my seniors to do. I mean hey, the more locations the better. In total, we visited four locations around Fargo and a state park about half an hour into Minnesota that had several photographic gems of its own.

We were graced with nice weather both days which is pretty lucky in this region. There was a little wind on the top of a parking garage in downtown Fargo but lucky for us, we had the shelter of a classic Chevy Impala - which makes for pretty nice images I must say. Before the first day ended, we snapped a few photos at Rendezvous Park in West Fargo.

The second half of the session was spent at Buffalo River State Park just outside of Glyndon, MN. We utilized both the late-summer foliage as well as the warm waters of the Buffalo River that winds around the park. The river portraits are easily my favorite from the whole session as they allowed us to be completely original and create images that are unique to both of us. I used a strobe to provide artificial light in most scenarios while capitalizing on the blazing evening sun for some great backlight.

Enough words...here are some of my favorites from this session.
